A Note for Our 5th Grade Parents

Dear Fifth Grade Parents/Guardians,

My name is Kristen Harner. My son, Lucas Harner, is in Ms. B’s class. I wanted to relay two pieces of information regarding what our Carlisle PTA is doing in order to celebrate our amazing fifth graders!

Our Carlisle PTA had congratulatory yard signs made for each of our students. Please reach out to me via text at 214-784-1788 if you have not received your student’s yard sign.

I am also currently putting our fifth grade video together. This video will be distributed directly to each of the student’s family but will not be posted on social media. The video will highlight each of our 96 fifth graders with a few photos (past and present). Please fill out this form, so I can include your child in the video. If you do not wish for your child to be in our Carlisle fifth grade video, fill out the form anyway and make me aware of your choice. If you have difficulty with the form, please text me at 214-784-1788 or email me at cayman2005@gmail.com.

This video will be presented to the fifth grade students with our fifth grade flag sometime after May 20th. Once the video is presented to our fifth graders, it will be distributed to the child’s parent and/or guardians.

Contact the Plano Police Department to report carpool traffic violations.

The Plano Police Department utilizes the Traffic Violation and Special Enforcement Hotline to improve driver education and voluntary compliance with traffic laws. Motorists who observe a red light violation or any dangerous driving behavior are encouraged to call the Traffic Unit at 972-941-LITE (5483) and provide the license plate number of the vehicle involved in the incident, as well as a description of the incident. Additionally, special Traffic Enforcement Requests (TERs) can be made by calling the 972-941-LITE (5483) hotline as well as online.

2021-2022 Approved PISD Calendar

At its December 8^th meeting, the PISD Board of Trustees approved the 2021-2022 school calendar.

School will start on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 and end on Friday, May 27, 2022. Winter break will run from Dec. 20-Jan. 3, followed by a staff work day on Jan. 4. Spring break will be a bit longer next year, with students off from March 7-14 and returning to classes on Tuesday, March 15.

PISD Covid Testing Updates

PISD will be publishing daily Covid testing updates, Monday through Friday, at: https://www.pisd.edu/ coviddashboard.

The numbers include all PISD students and teachers/staff with confirmed cases of Covid-19 and numbers of recoveries.
